"Your Own SGO" Management

Local Schools. Local Control. Local Impact.

We help your school launch its own Scholarship Granting Organization — fully compliant, fully funded by local donors, fully controlled by you.

Public School

Federal law specifically allows scholarships to support students attending public and charter schools through a wide range of educational services and programs.

Private School

Scholarships are funded by private, charitable donations and can help cover: tuition, tutoring, special-education services, supplies, dual enrollment, AP exams, and more.

How It Works

A federal tax credit, redirected to your school — not the IRS.

The Education Freedom Tax Credit is a new federal program that lets every American direct their tax dollars toward K-12 scholarships, for use at public and private schools alike. Here's how a donation becomes a scholarship.

1

You Donate

Donate up to $1,700 per person, per year, to "Your Own SGO" — your school's own Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). Choose which participating school your gift supports.

2

You Get It Back — Dollar for Dollar

This isn't a deduction. It's a full federal tax credit. Every dollar you donate comes back to you on your taxes, up to $1,700. You either send that money to the federal government, or you direct it to educate children in your own community — there's no net cost to you as a donor.

3

Your School Decides Who Benefits

Your school decides who receives a scholarship and how much each one is worth. No national office sets the criteria. That decision stays local, with the people who know your students best.

Scholarships can be used for: tuition, tutoring, books, supplies, computers, uniforms, disability services, transportation.

Why We're Not Like Other SGOs

Most Scholarship Granting Organizations operate at the state or national level — one large fund covering hundreds of schools, with award criteria set by a distant board you'll never meet. "Your Own SGO" was built to work differently.

They don't set the criteria. You do.

National SGOs decide, on their own, how scholarship dollars get split — how many awards, how large, and who qualifies. With us, your school makes that call. Five $20,000 awards or a hundred $1,000 awards — you get to decide.

They serve hundreds of schools. We serve yours.

Federal law requires every SGO to serve at least 2 schools — we meet that requirement by design, not by scale. Your SGO is built around your school and its partner, not folded into a statewide pool competing against hundreds of others for the same dollars.

Your community's donations, your community's students.

Funds raised through your school stay directed to your school. Your donors aren't giving to a general fund that might land anywhere in the state, they're funding scholarships for students in the community they actually know.

Built by people who know the law, not just the mission.

Our founder helped draft the model regulations submitted directly to the U.S. Treasury Department for this exact program. We don't just support school choice, we helped shape the rules that govern it, and we built "Your Own SGO" to fully comply with them from day one.
